Ford Ranger Seat Cover Guide: T6, T7 and Next-Gen (2012–2026)
The Ford Ranger has been South Africa's second best-selling bakkie for years. This guide covers every generation's seat cover compatibility, the differences between T6, T7 and Next-Gen Ranger interiors, and what options are available from both Kindo Covers and Escape Gear.
The Ford Ranger has long been a staple of the South African bakkie market. From the popular T6 generation (2012–2022) through to the completely redesigned Next-Gen Ranger (2023 onwards), each generation requires its own specific seat cover pattern. This guide helps you identify your generation and understand what's available.
Identifying Your Ranger Generation
- T6 Ranger (2012–2018): Square, upright front grille, round headlights. The T6 was substantially the same from 2012 to 2018.
- T7 Ranger (2019–2022): Restyled front end with angular, connected-look headlights. Seat cover patterns are largely compatible between T6 and T7.
- Next-Gen Ranger (2023 onwards): Completely redesigned from the ground up — new platform, new interior, new seat architecture. Next-Gen covers are NOT compatible with T6/T7 Ranger and vice versa.

Next-Gen Ranger Seat Covers (2023 Onwards)
The 2023 Next-Gen Ranger introduced an entirely new interior architecture. Do not attempt to fit T6-generation covers on a Next-Gen Ranger.
Kindo Covers for Next-Gen Ranger
- Next-Gen XL Single Cab (2023–2026)
- Next-Gen XL Extra Cab (2023–2026)
- Next-Gen XL Double Cab (2023–2026)

The Ranger Raptor: A Special Case
The Ranger Raptor's sport seats have aggressive side bolsters that require a dedicated pattern. Standard Double Cab Ranger covers will not fit correctly on Raptor seats. Always order the Raptor-specific pattern (available from Kindo for 2020 onwards).
