Step 1: Lay Out Components on Each Seat
Open the parcel and place all the correct items on the seat to be fitted, each front seat has a back, base and headrest, and the back seat has 2 backs, a base, 3 headrests, and an armrest, if your vehicle has armrests.
Step 2: Fitting Drivers and Passenger Seats
Headrest
- Pull the headrest cover over the top of the headrest using your fingers.
- Slide it down to the bottom of the headrest.
- The seams of the headrest cover need to match those of the vehicle's headrest.
- If it isn’t a perfect fit, use both hands and shift the cover around until the seams match up.
Base
- Place the base cover over the seat matching the seat seam to the cover seam.
- Push the buckles through the slot between the back and base.
- Untuck the 4 straps and buckles (ladder locks) so that you can match them up when fitting.
- Thread the 2 center straps under the seat base to the back. Attach these to the 2 center ladder locks as indicated in below diagram
- Tighten both straps slightly to get the cover snug.
- Check that the seat cover front seams align to the seats seam and tension straps.
- The outside straps can now be fastened in the following manner:
- The webbing on the inside (gearlever side) needs to pass through the small gap between the seat base and sliding rail to prevent the seat jamming when adjusting. This fastens in the same manner as the central straps to the inside ladder lock that is sewn at an angle.
- Note: This must not be tightened as it will be tightened up on the door side fastening later
- The base on the door side is then tucked into the plastic trim as per below picture. The webbing strap is then passed above the seat adjustment rail as done on the opposite side.
- The webbing on the door side must now be pulled tight before threading the ladder This will tighten the ring strap and create the shape over the seat base.
- Once tight and the cover has hugged the seat base you can thread the ladder lock and tension the strap once more
- Lastly, tension all 4 ladder locks for a final time to ensure a tight fit and tuck all excess webbing neatly away into the covers out of sight.
Backs
- Remove the headrest.
- Unclip the carpet flap from behind the seat.
- There are two plastic hooks on elastic hooked under the base of the seat that must be released
- Pull the cover back over the seat back, matching the two holes for the headrest.
- Secure the flap using the hooks provided.
- Reposition the carpet flap and secure it under the seat base.
- Pull the cover back over the seat back, match the two holes for the headrest on top of the back
- Pull the cover right down to the base making sure the side seams are matching the seat seams
- From the front push through the flap with the 4 hooks between the slot of the back and base
- Pull this flap firmly from behind the drivers seat, continue to tension the flap to the underside of the base where it is secured using the 4 hooks on the underside of the base.
- Now bring the carpet flap back down into position and secure it under the seat base with the 2 clips.
- The Velcro for the seat back can now be pulled down and secured to the carpet behind the seat.
- The yellow KINDO sidewinders will be visible on the outside shoulder panel when opening the door
Step 3: Fitting Back Seat
Back Base (Solid Cushion)
- Remove the back base by unscrewing the bolt.
- Detach the plastic clips located on the front edge of the seat.
- Drape the cover over the base, align seams, and secure using webbing straps.
Fitting Back Headrests
- Hook the headrest cover over the headrest and adjust for a snug fit.
Fitting Back Armrest
- Slip the cover over the armrest, ensuring the drink holder allowance is correctly positioned.
Do not over-tension any straps, as this may distort the foam shape of the original seat.
